Jane Fellows as Mary Ellen McCaffree
Two remarkable women; one timely new one-woman show
We’re grateful for the gracious force of nature that is Jane Fellows. Not only is Jane a veteran of commanding the stage solo (The Belle of Amherst, First Lady Lou), she’s also the daughter of a League of Women Voters contemporary of Mary Ellen McCaffree. Jane boldly took on this full-length new work in honor of her mother, Margaret Fellows Portman and sister Ann Murphy, head of LWVWA. She shares our determination to bring this story to stage before the 2018 midterms.
A generous collaborator, Jane brings to Many Maps, One Voice her own unique blend of spitfire and warmth. “The desire to truthfully and creatively tell the story has motivated and guided me throughout my career. My work in theater has spanned more than 45 years as a student, actor, director, solo performer and artistic director. Ensemble building in an atmosphere of discovery, integrity, respect and energy has been a hallmark of my career.” Learn more at www.janefellows.com.
